In order to help us achieve our vision, we are looking for a Project Manager to join our Pakistan team. Reporting to the Country Manager, The Project Manager will be accountable for the successful delivery of our Trachoma Elimination Project in Pakistan. This will involve the effective management and coordination of partners and other stakeholders. In this exciting new position you will be accountable for working with our implementing partners in Pakistan in the areas of project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation to ensure th e effective implementation and coordination of a number of project activities.
The successful candidate will bring a strong background in program cycle management and leadership, along with highly developed communication skills. We are looking to recruit a talented local professional who understands the Pakistan health sector and has the passion and drive to make a significant contribution to ending avoidable blindness in the region.
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Tertiary qualifications in International Development, Community Development, Public Health or Social Sciences (Masters’ level desirable.)
* Extensive experience (minimum 5 years) in program and project management and Monitoring and Evaluation within the international development sector, particularly in Public Health
* Previous experience leading others – this role has 1 direct report, but will oversee many partners
* Previous experience, working with and influencing government partners is highly desirable
* Knowledge of the Pakistan health system is highly desirable
* Well-developed partnership and stakeholders skills.
* Strong written and spoken English.
