About the position

Strategic Program Leadership
* Provide strategic leadership, effective management and coordination of the Program team from design to quality review in the line with the strategic plan to ensure maximum impact and effectiveness of the Country program.
* Provide technical support to the Program team to ensure implementation of sustainable programs and the creation of the achievable, measurable objectives that align to the Partnership Framework
* Provide guidance on issues related to health systems strengthening (leadership and governance, health manpower capacity development, health reform, health financing)
* Manage the overall Program budget ensuring that the Foundations resources are used efficiently and in the areas they will achieve the most impact.
* Delegate responsibilities and assignments for the development and management of program activities in line with role responsibilities and the effective use of the teams’ skills and experience.

Strategic Partnership Management, Advocacy and innovation
* Manage strategic partnerships with key stakeholders
* Designing, planning and implementing advocacy strategy and campaigns as per organization strategy
* Support the Country Manager on National Advocacy Agenda
* Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for initiating and accomplishing innovative project strategies, exploring opportunities and add value to project accomplishment

Other
* Oversee the qualitative and quantitative outcomes and impacts of the Program and the partners’ work, and in collaboration with the Program Manager work to ensure successful implementation in line with the plan.
* Ensure all program documentation meets the required quality and ensure compilation and sharing of timely and quality reports.
* Provide strategic direction, supervision and mentorship to program staff for both project and career growth.
* Support in building strong sense of team within organization
* Ability to spend 20%- 25% of his/her time in the field to monitor and support partners

About the Person:

Qualifications
* At least a Relevant Master’s degree (e.g., Health Management, International / Community Development, Public Administration, Sociology, Public health);

Experience
* Minimum of 7 years of progressive work experience, preferably in the development sector with a local or international development organization;
* Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in management position/ supervisory role
* Demonstrated experience in Project Design and Project Cycle Management at large;
* Experience in dealing with a variety of Government ministries, local and international donor organizations, and other partners;
* Knowledge of health development issues, especially in health systems reforms and advocacy issues is an asset

Skills
* Passion for driving change and taking on challenges
* Understanding of trends and standards in development work in Bangladesh
* Good co-ordination and communication skills;
* Computer literate; experience in database management, and use of Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access;
* Ability to work with minimum supervision, high level of autonomy and flexibility
* Good written and spoken skill in English and Bangladeshi
