Since 1999, The Foundation has been working to close the gap in health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Working closely with our partners in regions across Australia, our Indigenous Australia Program team works to ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples can always exercise their rights to sight, good health and self-determination.
Over the next 5 years, we are determined to deepen our impact in preventing blindness and restoring sight of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Our initiatives are strongly aligned to Strong Eyes, Strong Communities – the Five Year Plan for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Eye Health and Vision, developed by Vision 2020 Australia.
The Position
The Team Leader – Program Delivery is accountable for the effective design and operational delivery of programs within the I ndigenous Australia Program. In this role you will lead a small team (3) of project leads to helps us effectively implement our programs.
In this leadership position you will be responsible for:
* Leading, developing and coordinating key relationships with partner organisations and key stakeholders
* Leading, developing, contract managing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating effective programs
* Leading the program team and supporting management team to ensure all reporting, budgetary, operational and legislative requirements are met
* Undertaking advocacy as required
* Contributing to the team and providing mentoring to support a culture of engagement and collaboration within The Foundation
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Demonstrated ability to manage teams, partner relationships and negotiate outcomes with key stakeholders.
* Demonstrated ability to prepare high quality reports for management, Board, donor bodies on budgets, operations and legislative requirements
* Demonstrated ability to undertake program development, implementation, management, financial management and evaluation of programs
* Demonstrated ability to work in diverse teams in a culturally appropriate manner
