In order to help us achieve our vision, we are looking for a Project Officer to join our rapidly growing Myanmar team. Reporting to the Country Manager, Myanmar, you will be responsible for accountable for working closely with Ministry of Health and Sports in the areas of project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation to ensure the effective implementation and coordination of project activities in line with agreed project guidelines and objectives.
The successful candidate will bring a strong background in program cy cle management, resource and partnership management and highly developed communication skills. We are looking to recruit a talented local professional who understands the Myanmar health sector and has the passion and drive to make a significant contribution to ending avoidable blindness in the region.
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Tertiary qualifications in International Development, Community Development, Public Health or Social Sciences
* Experience working for an international development, government or non-profit sector, preferably in public health or a related field
* Previous experience in project management such design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation
* Knowledge of the Myanmar health system
* Well-developed partnership and stakeholders skills.
* Strong written and spoken English and Burmese.
* Eligibility to work in Myanmar.
* Ability to travel within Myanmar and internationally.
