Australia: Consultant - Evaluation

The Fred Hollows Foundation (The Foundation) is seeking expressions of interest from individuals or consulting companies interested in undertaking an evaluation for our Trachoma initiative in the Pacific.

The Foundation is seeking consultants who meet the following selection criteria:

  • Bachelor degree in development or public health
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct a process evaluation and prepare quality evaluation reports
  • Strong experience working with national governments and intergovernmental bodies.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills in English.
  • Demonstrated understanding of eye and NTD health programming; and knowledge of the global Trachoma programme
  • Strong skills in cross-cultural communication, including conducting interviews where English is not the first language.
  • Understanding of and ability to travel to the Pacific Island Countries of Fiji, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands and Kiribati.
  • Strong coordination, organization and communication skills; including demonstrated skills in presenting.

Application Process:

Interested consultants/teams must submit the following:

  • Overview of the team composition, including the CV of each evaluators, describing their qualifications and experience against the above selection criteria;
  • Overview of the proposed evaluation approach and methodology, (no more than 6 pages);
  • Proposed number of days required to complete the evaluation, broken down by deliverables and costs as per a daily rate;
  • A recent evaluation report completed by the lead consultant;The contact details of three references.
