Reporting to the Country Manager, you will lead the implementation of the Health Systems Strengthening of The Fred Hollows Foundation Rwanda Program. Tasked with improving the administrative, managerial, and operational capacity of health systems.
Previous experience in project or program management is essential as is extensive experience working for an international development, government or community based organisation. You will have excellent knowledge of district/community-level issues impacting health service delivery and demonstrated success strengthening local health systems and institutions. With your proven success in developing new project designs along with excellent project coordination skills, including effective application of monitoring and evaluation systems. Your ability to cultivate key relationships will be your strength developing strategies and resources to influence, persuade and build the confidence of partners and stakeholders.
Essential criteria includes:
• 10+ years’ health management, health systems, and public health experience. • Experience working with corporate donors. • Experience working for the Rwanda government in capacity building. • International representation experience. • Familiarity and knowledge of working with donor organizations and development partners. • Developing and implementing evidence based advocacy programs experience. • Excellent interpersonal and intercultural sensitivity. • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills in English. • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
